Caleb's Got A New Blog

So Caleb decided to start his own blog back in July because his parents were so lousy at blogging. He wanted us to put a link to his new blog so you can see what's been going on in his life. Go to http://calebheaton.spaces.live.com/

Cruisin' Caleb

I'm in a Big Bed
I'm in a Big Bed

On Kenny's birthday, April 20th---Caleb started crawling. In a matter of days, he has perfected his crawling and he can now pull himself up on anything and everything. He is keeping his parents on their toes---that's for sure. Caleb seems to have no interest in his own toys these days---he just wants to explore and get into things he can't have. He loves the outdoors and he really enjoys going for walks in the jogging strolller. Most of the time Caleb is a really happy guy--as you can see by his smiles. You can view a new slide show entitled Caleb the Great.

First Bites

Eeewww! What is that stuff?!?

Caleb celebrated his half-birthday on February 3rd 2007! He is now six months old! We can hardly believe how fast he is growing and changing. He is rolling over completely now and sticking everything in his mouth that he can get his little hands on. We are always watching out for our own hands now because Caleb has two bottom teeth. He's a chomper!

Kenny took the rest of his daddy-leave at the end of January and we were able to go on a little get-away to Mount Vernon. It was very relaxing. There was a high chair where we were staying so Caleb got to try his first rice cereal. He wasn't crazy about it and spit most of it out--but we got some cute pictures! :D

We finally got a high chair of our own (thanks to Aunt Erika) and we'll introduce some more food to the little guy. More pictures to come!

Growing Up!

I've got the bread daddy!
I've got the bread daddy!

Caleb was helping his daddy fix dinner tonight because mommy wasn't feeling well. As daddy was fixing the eggs, Caleb decided to help by holding the bread for his daddy. It was pretty funny--Caleb must have held on to the bread for about three minutes or so.

Our little guy surprised us again a couple days ago with his first tooth on the bottom right. When we went to his four month appointment a week ago, the doctor assured us that Caleb wouldn't start teething for another few months. Caleb had other plans!

We spent Thanksgiving in Maryland and Caleb was able to meet his grandpa and Aunt Michelle, Uncle Dave, and his cousins Adora and Emma for the first time. There were many firsts for Caleb--a trip on the airplane, a day at the zoo, a new time zone, and being in a new state. Caleb did great on the trip--he adjusted better than his mommy and daddy.

Caleg is so much fun! He loves to laugh, listen to music, and ride in the front pack with daddy. Caleb also enjoys looking at lights--especially Christmas lights. He kicks his little legs when he is excited. Caleb is such a blessing to us and we are enjoying him so much!

We put together a new slide show entitled "Growing Caleb." You can click here to view

Caleb Visits Daddy At Work

Future Software Developer

On October 16th, this last Monday Caleb and mommy went to visit daddy at work. After getting some yummy sandwiches at Subway, we went up to daddy's office so Caleb could get a little snack too. After munching for a while, Caleb helped his daddy at the computer--he's a smart little cookie! Maybe he'll be a future Microsoft employee like his daddy! To see more pictures of Caleb at daddy's work you can go to Kenny's flickr account.

Two Months And Counting

Smiles
Smile Caleb
It's so hard to believe that Caleb has reached two months already! We are enjoying him so much. He is smiling all the time now and making mommy and daddy proud.

Caleb is growing like a weed! At his two month appointment he weighed exactly 13 pounds and was 23 1/2 inches. He is already almost out of his 3 month sleepers!

Mommy and daddy are getting a little more sleep at night as Caleb usually will sleep a six hour stretch. Naps are wonderful when we can get them. Caleb doesn't like to go to sleep but eventually he gets so tired he just cries himself to sleep. He's a social little guy who doesn't like to miss out on all the fun. :)

Our little apartment is filling up with more baby accessories every month it seems. : ) Caleb really enjoys his cradle swing and his new baby gym. He also loves lying on his back during his awake time and listening to music. He kicks his little legs and smiles at us.

We've posted a new link in the left column where you can view pictures of Baby Caleb. We hope you enjoy them!
